Administrator’s Session: Standard 1
Becoming a Leader in the Classroom, School and Profession
* Making Your PLC's More Effective
* Understanding Your Teacher Ethics and Code of Conduct Policies

This session will focus on Standard 1 and how to develop leadership skills in the classroom, the school and the profession. Participants will also participate in a True Colors assessment, to not only better understand themselves, but also to be able to identify character traits in others to more effectively collaborate and work in leadership roles with personalities of all types. We will also examine the teacher’s code of conduct and ethics policy in detail so teachers can readily find themselves proficient and accomplished on Element E of Standard 1.
Teacher’s Session: Standards Overview & Evaluation Process
(In case an administrator missed our summer session or wants more information, we are opening this teacher session to administrators as well).
* Understanding the NC Teaching Standards and Teacher Evaluation Process

Teachers have received various levels of training on the teaching standards and the evaluation process. This session is to fill in any gaps, clarify misunderstandings and allow teachers to completely understand what will be expected of them in their evaluation process. We will take the mystery out of the behaviors in the rubric by clearly identifying what it means to be developing, proficient, accomplished or distinguished. This session will be helpful for any teacher who still wants to understand how to change their teaching style to match the needs of students in the 21st Century.
